Last Wednesday, we took the kids to Baguio, a much needed and deserved family vacation. Specially for Glenn and Ami, Glenn for being the hardworking provider that he is, and Ami because she really needs relief from her itchy rashes(breaks out when she sweats).
The trip going there was a bit hard, since it is the first time that we took Ami on a long trip. She wanted to sleep but she can’t find the right position. Stop overs didn’t help much.
We decided to take Marcos Highway instead of our usual Naguillan route, to make the trip a little shorter. We were shocked by what we saw. I don’t know if we just were not paying attention ast time we went there or it cannot be seen from Naguillian. We saw what used to be mountain peaks is now covered with lots of houses. From afar it looks like a dump site, when you cannot really see that those are houses, all you can see are different colors of different sizes. I hope it’s not a landslide waiting to happen.
Anyway, we, specially Karl, enjoyed our stay. Karl enjoyed every minute of our stay, he didn’t want to go back home. From day one he has requests of where we should go. From the time we left home he was asking if we could see the horses already, seems like every hour, like an alarm clock, he would ask "mama punta n tayo sa horse?" We arrived late afternoon so we decided to have an early dinner and then sleep, the kid will have to wait. We took them first to Burnham, so he saw the boats, so there’s another wish list item.
The next day we took them to Mines View, I decided to have their pictures taken with the horse first since we don’t really know how Karl would react when he is actually on the horse. And indeed, he really wanted to just see the horse and not ride it. He got scared when it moved. So we left. We went to Mile High whatchamacallit hehe. Then back to Vistro Pension House where he watched Nickelodeon and every commercial break he would ask if we can go boating already hehe.
<change topic> I got paranoid when we were up there. Before going up, the kids and I already have coughs and colds. But on our second day there, I had fever, 38.9. I’m used to having coughs and colds but not fever, and definitely not that high. I kept watching if I will develop rashes since I already have 2 symptoms of meningo coccemia. For those of you who don’t know, there was an outbreak of meningo January 2005. But DOH declared it under control by February. It was still scary though.
Ok. I think this is my longest post so far. Check out my album for pictures of our Bguio trip.
