Hey, there are very few kids who fight for broccoli. (Ami pushing kuya away when he tries to grab one of her florettes.) They love it this way, market manila recipe, minus the chilli flakes.

Long Time No Post

Friday, May 26th, 2006

I was planning to post an entry for the longest time, but I don’t know why, I always forget what I plan to write about. I am sooo forgetful these days. Heck, there was even a time that Glenn got irritated because I asked him a question I asked a minute or two ago. Now I remember that story because it’s funny and stupid and a bit scary all at the same time, I asked him if he wanted pancakes for breakfast, then I said, "ay wag na lang may ginawa nga pala akong tiramisu (graham recipe not the fancy ones)", I don’t remember the conversation in between, but after that I asked him again if he wanted pancakes for breakfast. Then he looked at me like I was playing tricks on him, I asked him why, he said "niloloko mo ba ako, ikaw pa nga nagsabi kung bakit hindi pwede ang pancake." Isaid "huh? bakit hindi pwede pancake? hindi ko talaga matandaan" eventually I remembered. It is scary why this happens a lot these days, I’m still young…

Another reason for the absence: I was in pain for the past three weeks I think. A bad case of sinusitis, so bad it triggered another severe tooth ache, which led to it’s extraction. It happened before, summer before I entered 3rd year high school. My tooth ached so bad, it was like my head is being split in two, the dentist doesn’t want to extract the tooth because it was a good tooth, no cavities, no decay, even the x-ray did not reveal anything unusual, but it was really painful. After a couple of days, before I figured out what was going on, the pain suddenly stopped, so I did not pursue it anymore. Years after, I found out that a bad sinusitis can feel like your tooth or even the whole upper set of teeth is aching.

Today I visited the EENT clinic, the doctor said I have to treat the cause of my sinusitis, which is allergic rhinitis, he prescribed tons of medicine, good thing Amy is weaned already. He said that allergy is with me for life, I just have to control it to avoid complications like sinusitis and asthma. He said some people even develops polyps inside the nasal passage. He said I have none (I had a nasal endoscopy).

…off to sleep…

Losing Friends(ters)

Monday, May 1st, 2006

It happened to me before, I noticed that my friend counter was 1 less than I used to remember it, but I didn’t know who left my circle. Then when I was surfing, looking for old friends to invite, I invited a girl, then I realized, she was already in my friends list before, but with a different name. So she was the lost friend…

Then a day or two after she accepted my invitation, I saw the counter go from 188 to 189, then a little later went back to 188. Another person lost, again I didn’t know who it was. So this time, I made a list of my friends(ters) in case it happens again.

It happened again twice today. Yesterday I was checking if the friend I invited accepted my invitation, she did, there were 200 in my list, today went back to 199.

At this point I’m wondering, is there something wrong with me? Did I offend people? Ngayon pa ba ako magkakaroon ng kaaway, nasa bahay na nga lang ako. What harm could I possibly do? Did I say something offending in my emails or whatever?  It also came to my mind that the person who joined my group was not friends with the person who left. Kaso tama ba naman yun???

Then I remember my list, I checked who was missing. It ruled out my opposing friends theory, since I don’t think they know each other. It  also ruled out the possibility that I offended the person, because I did not send a message to that person… hmm, baka naman kasi nga hindi ako nag message? Ano ba napraning na… Baka nabura niya yung friendster profile niya at nawala siya sa circulation. I checked, mukhang ganun na nga.

After checking who was missing, I noticed the counter again, and again it decremented.

Anobah!
